Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

Lyminster Primary School is an inclusive and happy school with high aspirations for our pupils. Exciting learning challenges help all children access the National Curriculum, celebrating both achievement and effort. We respond to children’s diverse learning needs and we work to reduce any barriers to learning. We are never complacent and always seek ways to improve what we can offer our children. We strive to support all children to learn, reflect and question, within a learning environment that allows our children to feel safe, confident and happy.

Our Inclusion Leader (SENDCo) is Mrs Rachel Yarrow. Please feel free to contact her via the school office, or speak to your child’s Class Teacher if you would like any more information.

SEN Information Report

The aim of the SEN Information Report is to improve the accessibility and transparency of information for parents, professionals and practitioners. One of the outcomes of this will be a shared understanding of available services and resources to support open conversations. We want to work in close partnership with parents, our local community and other professionals in order to provide high quality education for all our pupils.

The Local Offer comprises of fourteen questions that provide parents and carers with information about the provision provided and arrangements made at our school to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.
